Are You Being Lied To?


This is a fascinating summary of what the latest research has found about verbal and nonverbal cues to watch for that help us determine if someone is telling us the truth. Perhaps it would help us when we watch a political debate, or deal with that troublesome neighbor, or in talking with a difficult teen.

What was most interesting to me, as a psych type, is how unreliable cues to deception are and how often people–even professionals–are wrong in their conclusions! The results you will hear in this little summary might be very surprising since many contradict what we have heard about how to tell if someone is lying.
